old funny pictures

 I was going through old pictures of college and I found some funny keepers.

Like it looks like I'm making out with my best friend Katie, really we are playing a card game where it says which body parts you have to put together to keep the card up, and it must have been nose to nose. A part of a card is sticking out over my ear.



Side note, sheesh I was once really tan.
And sheesh my legs were skinny.

Spanex dance parties were a regular. I obviously had the shortest shorts. But what else is new?
Slowly but surely I had all the girls spandex alittle shorter. Volleyball short is the only way.

I love quoting Mean Girls.

Couple of things

1. I got the Iphone 5. It is almost my most prized possession, second only to my camera and possibly my computer. But needless to say, it is LOVE! 
2. I went wake boarding yesterday with "cousin Katie" really she is my Aunt Laura's sister. It was really fun. I did well and now I'm sore in muscles I didn't even know I had, which kind of feels like I got hit by a truck. But my problems are small compared to poor Katie who was terribly sick and threw up a couple times on the boat and on the way home. Poor girl. She was a champ though and never complained. 
3. Looper- awesome movie. Mind blowing actually. Made me love Joseph Gordon-Levitt more than ever. 
4. Pitch Perfect. The funniest movie I have seen in a long long time. It is definitely a buyer. Rebel Wilson is my new hero. The songs are still stuck in my head too. I wish I could sing well. 
5. I can't believe it is already October tomorrow. Crazy how fast times flies. 
6. I have 3 episodes left of Downton Abbey, but I got distracted with Once Upon a Time, Revenge, and 666 Park Avenue tonight to finish them. 
7. Loved my video chat with Katie Cooper. I miss my best friend.

Very proud of my dad today. He is going to be mentioned on CNN tonight for something he has worked really long to and hard to finalize for the health of Maricopa County, which pushes restaurants with playgrounds, or indoor jungle gyms to thoroughly clean the play area. He's hoping this idea gets picked up nationally. I knew my dad's OCD cleanliness would come into good use one day. ;)About time he got some positive press. Way to go Daddio!

can't sleep

It's never a good sign when you hear a whimper from the fluffy kid sleeping next to you. It is always the same time. 3:00 am. Thank you Lilly Lu Lu for disturbing my beauty sleep and giving me insomnia afterwards. 

Since I'm up, I've been thinking that lately I have given up all my vices and traded them for another. Shopping. Online shopping. I have been told recently that I have become a shopaholic. Well, this may or not be true. I guess it's time to stop, and start saving for Christmas gifts.

I hurt my foot last night during volleyball.

I didn't wait to get it x-rayed this time.

The consequences of my last break was too much.

The nurse said she didn't see anything, but I'll find out for sure tomorrow.

The drama of taking these pictures. Beth Anne had found this wall online. I had been wanted to take pictures here for some time. Last Sunday was too hot, so we just scouted it out to see which side of the wall it was on in terms of sunlight. So today, it was cooler, so I begged BB to help me. She was in a bad mood when I knocked on her door. She was in a bad mood as we were driving, I wasn't allowed to talk. When we got there she was mad that I was planning on wearing her prom dress, for 4 minutes to take a picture… so she left me there in a shady neighborhood, by myself with all my expensive camera gear. Thank you sister. I love you too? I just wanted to be a princess for like 5 minutes and my pumpkin carriage left me… 
That wall sure is magical though. 

Funny conversation

In my 4:30 - 7:15 class tonight, I had a funny conversation with the kid sitting next to me.

Kid: "This class is at the worst time because…"

Me: "it's during dinner?!?!"

Kid:"No, it's during FOOTBALL." 

HAHAHAHAHA.

Where my mind wonders from 5-7:15 fooooood.

Boy next to me… FOOTBALL.

Last semester. YEEEHAAA!

But it is also bitter-sweet.

My undergrad is well deserved.

Real life scares me a little.

Still not exactly sure what I'm supposed to do.

So I am gonna fake it till I make it.

Also BB and I haven't gone to the same school in over 10 years. I used to walk her to Kindergarten and that was it I guess with a 5 year gap in grades. 

So we met up for lunch and ate in the Library.

Also last night, my squirtle bottom shaggy dog who is more like the grinch when it comes to snuggle time, climbed over me and licked my face and laid down helplessly in my arms. Sweet baby girl was scared of the loud thunder. 

Words can't describe love sometimes.

It was simply priceless.

GOOD DAY!

Today was not my day at work.

I spilled a water on a lady.

Felt so bad.

Then I cut myself while cutting a lime.

I thought I was going to have to get stitches.
It wouldn't stop bleeding.
I don't like blood.

Again, today was not my day. 
May tomorrow be ever in my favor.

Acting class

On Thursday I went with Beth Anne to acting class. I was really scared. In 6th grade I did the announcements over the intercom and in 8th grade occasionally I did the television announcements to the entire school. That was over 10 years ago. I've become camera shy.
We started off doing an exercise where you are in one state of emotion and then someone comes in and tells you something, which changes your emotion and you have to wait until Marla clapped to respond. The waiting let the emotion build inside of you.  When I finally got the nerve to try it, because we are on a camera and everyone in the small class of 8 were watching, I made BB be my partner. She was the person in the emotion and I came in to change her mood. When I came in it just made her laugh because I would smirk like our dog. So we switched places. I was told not to look up like I was looking at the birds. But, I was trying to be content in thought when Beebs comes in and tell me that "Dad isn't proud of me" and I start crying. Marla said that was the best one yet. 
BB gave me an easy one, because sometimes I wonder if he's proud. But the class went on and we practiced a script from a weird movie. I had no idea what I was doing, but BB did. BB is beautiful on camera and works her angles. She is amazing! 
After the class Marla said I had great potential. Made me feel good. Acting is more complicated than I had ever imagined. 
To act you must have your emotions vulnerable but you can't take things personally. It is paradoxical irony. 

I also really liked that there bunny rabbits in everyone's yard. They just hop all over the place.

Be Well

We started off the morning with a tour of 

whole foods. 

That place is intimidating.

So many healthy foods, it's crazy.

But we came back and cooked. 

 We made salad with kelp, spinach, lettuce, and berries. We made kelp chips, sweet potato fries, home made pesto, squash spaghetti, a huge veggies bake, a green smoothie, and a protein chocolate shake. 

"Delish!"

I'm excited about finding peace with food.

I'm excited about learning how to cook in a healthy way.

I'm excited that I'm changing my lifestyle.

Then I had the best nap of my entire life.
I was so relaxed.
I've decided, if one day I'm ever extremely rich,
I want a masseuse to give me a massage before I go to bed every night. 
So I can have that same amazing sleep that I had today. It was a delicious sleep. 

Dark Knight RISES

I'm seeing it twice in one day.

I went by me-self (yes I like going to movies by myself sometimes) and I ran into Brooke Curtis.

Then I happened to sit on her row so I got to hang with her. Coincidence? I think not.

Also, I'm very please to announce that me smoocher loocher Beff Annie is driving home as we speak. 

YEEEEEE. 

Haven't seen my twin in like a month. 

So excited to have her back.

And to be seeing this sweet movie again.

This time, I don't think I'm going to drink as much because I had to pee for like 2 hours of the 2 1/2 hour movie. 

My first blu burger

So I had my first Blu Burger. I had worked at Blu Burger for like 2 months now and every lunch or dinner I got had to do with chicken. Chicken sandwich or chicken salad… but never the burger. So my coworkers said that it was the day.
I had the angus… not even the best burger patty possible. IT BLEW MY MIND, ROCKED MY WORLD, CHANGED MY LIFE. The best burger I have ever had in my entire life. It ruined me. I can't go back to Wendy's Jr. Bacon after that…

Katy Perry

I went to see the Katy Perry movie with my Granny. I must say I love her… She is so flippin cute and seems so down to Earth. 

Not gonna lie, Last Friday Night is one of my favorites. I wish I still had my head gear from back and the day because she made it cool. Who would have known that was even possible. 

Anyways, Russell Brand is an idiot to let go of her.

ZZ Ward

BB, posted an awesome song on my wall last night. I listened to it most of the night. Her voice is much like Adele's but darker. I really like her. Not only that, she is the theme song for PLL this season. I knew I had heard her somewhere. 

This is the song that I fell in love with last night. It's catchy. Thanks BB for always finding the best music. Always.

I love all the love clips. People kissing. So cute, ZZ Ward you've got a new fan. LOVE IT.

4th of July.

I'm not really big into 4th of July. 
I don't know if it was because this year I was alone, or that I found out today my only basketball player I have ever really cared about -with the jersey in my closet to prove it- from the Suns (Nash) is going to the Lakers, or if my faith in our government has been strained the last few years because my eyes have been opened to the injustice of the justice system. Woah, that was a really long runonsentence and a hard decision. But... option tres, three, 3. Ehhhh… yeah, 3, is what did me in. So it is not so ironic today (and every) that I was sporting my London bag. Call me a loyalist and LONG LIVE LONDON BAG. I can see myself living in Europe or, the British colony, New Zealand one day. The only thing that gives me any pride in the red, white, and blue are all the cute 4th of July treats on pinterest and Miley Cyrus's song Party in the USA. So for that, rock on AMURRRICA and PARTY IN THE USA. 

Despite the fact that I'm not that into 4th of July, I had a really good day. It was an entertaining day.
Arizona weather is funny. The one day of the year it rains in AZ, is the one day a year people want to play with fire. Mother nature definitely has a sense of humor. It ended up a clear and cool temperatured night so Mother Nature I guess you know what you're doing. 
This afternoon, I took Granny to see a movie. Let's just say it was a bad choice, we still had a good laugh though. My Granny is the best.
I also got to work in the most wonderful blue place on the Earth. I don't think you understand my sarcasm, but really Blu Burger Grille is the bluest place on Earth. I do kinda enjoy my job because of the interesting customers. Like tonight, my last customer was high as a kite and kept falling asleep while he was eating his burger. It was hilarious to watch, but annoying at the same time because he didn't leave until 45 minutes after we closed. 
When I got home, I did what my heart full of London love told me to do. I watched Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Pt. 2. Nothing is more patriotic than watching Harry Potter. <-- that was funny, because it's totally not patriotic. HA.
This is my favorite Harry Potter, not just because it was the last one and has the most action and resolution. It's my favorite because I feel apart of it. I got to see the epilogue being filmed at King's Cross Station and see Harry walk by with grey in his hair, and the kids of Harry and Ginny and Ron and Herimone just chilling without security guards because they weren't famous yet. This movie lets me relive my London dreams and makes me feel empowered at the same time. Only our generation will understand how the theme song of Harry Potter can make you feel strong and totally awesome. From the first time I heard that melody when I was 11 or 12 years old when that first movie came out in the theaters, to hearing that song and watching every movie to the end; the best part was growing up with the characters. Man, I love Harry Potter. It's so complex and yet simply beautiful.
This time around, I did hear a quote that stuck with me. Albus Dumbledore taking to Harry while half-way-dead-half-way-alive-in-Harry's-head-scene-----I-know-you-know-what-I-mean, back to Dumbledore-
"Words are, in my not-so-humble opinion, our most inexhaustible magic. Capable of both inflicting pain, and remedying it."
Dumbledore, ain't that the truth. WORDS ARE MAGICAL. 
In the end, I love Harry Potter and all things England-ish. But still, God Bless the USA. 

Really, thank you… God blessed Amurrrrrrica. 

On a sweet note, the absolute best part of the night was that I got to have a long snuggle session with my puppy because fireworks scare the poop out of her. Literally. She pooped all over the house and I found them after work… ewwwww. But she cuddled with me like a sweet baby, so thank you America for having a birthday and setting off fireworks that brought my sassy dog and I together, even if you scared the crap out of her.

BB

BB is kind of weird. I kind of like her though. 

She doesn't feel good most of the time and so she won't get out of bed until noon. She looks miserable and funny. Sometimes BB plays in the curtains. I don't know… but I like her. She keeps life interesting, that's for sure. 

Carlsbad

I love Carlsbad. 

We have been coming here to vacation for years. 
It is so beautiful and I don't know why anyone would ever leave.

I love the ocean. I've always wanted to be a Cali surfer girl. When I was 14 I taught myself how to surf by watching surfing movies like Blue Crush. The first time I tried surfing I was out in the water for about 4 hours and when my mom pulled me out of the water because everyone else wanted to go, my arms were so sore and tired I couldn't lift my arm to pull my seat belt on. 

I surfed again for the first time in about 5 years yesterday. I got up a couple of times. I got tossed around more than a couple of times. I just realized I'm not in the same shape as I was when I was 14 years old. HA. 


The last day in Cali, I got to see two great dudes. 


I love Joel for many reasons, but I think my favorite reason is that he talks and I like what he says. He is kind of funny. Joel is a character at night time. He gets deep and insightful really really late, I loved listening to him. He's also just fun to be around. 
We went to Bed Bath and Beyond to pick him out a new pillow. Lesson learned besides that there are too many candle smells in Bed Bath and Beyond is that you gotta test out a pillow before you invest, so Joel laid on the floor to test out the possibilities. In the end he found the right pillow for his needs. 
I miss my midnight runs to Walmart with Joel and Brian. We would drive the back roads with the windows down. And take our time going in and out the aisles, testing things out. Or I'd get made fun of for buying a kid diet food of mac and cheese and honey nut cherrios and I'd make fun of the boys for only buying meat. Those were good times. 
Another great dude is Brent. I felt stupid because I accidentally called him Bryce once. But I've decided there are just too many B names in my life.  Any who Brent is such a sweet guy. He is a quality friend. He gave me a listening ear and his insight on what was going on in my life the first night I met him outside my apartment a long time ago. Since then I knew he would be a good friend. He hasn't disappointed. He really was a trooper for hiking the Y with me last summer. Thanks again! 
On our adventures yesterday together, I'm not sure everyone had a fun time driving all over to decide on where to eat lunch but I know I did. In the end, BB and I decided on Chili's: Chili's is pretty much an entire food group in our family. I have been to Chili's way too many times. No joke. But we had a coupon for a free dessert, and obviously we couldn't pass that up and we went for the Oreo Molten Cake. Just trust me on this one, it's DIVINE!
In the end there was no doubt it was good food, no doubt it was good company, no doubt it was a good time. Too bad we couldn't stick around longer. I had to take BB to the airport because she was headed off to HAWAII. Lucky duck. 


I also got to drive back and forth thru LA a couple of times and then drive 7 more hours home. I've decided I've done too much driving this past week and so when I got home at 11:55 pm it was rather late and I was happy to find my bed. There is nothing like your bed. It's the best bed ever. Also I realized my house has a distinct smell. It is a smell that I can only smell when I've been away for awhile. 
On a sad note, Lilly baby bear fluffy face was not home. Grandma took her so she wouldn't be lonely and so she was just gonna bring her over in the morning. I missed her excited face and obnoxious bark when I come thru the door. I also missed my bed buddy. 
But I got her back today. And she gave me lots of kisses. And I loved it. 


I had a wonderful vacation and I am truly blessed to know such amazing people.
